Wedding and Portrait Photography Creating a Successful Studio

May 25, 2016 | By: Blossom Blue Photography

I was extremely honored and excited to be featured in April's Pinhole Pro photography magazine in an article titled, Creating a Successful Studio: Blossom Blue Photography.

The interview covers topics like the inspiration behind my photography studio name, what's in my camera bag and how I prep for the busy wedding and portrait photography season.

I was also asked for my advice to budding wedding photographers which gave me a chance to really reflect on wedding and portrait photography and why I do it. I whole heartedly believe in giving back to other photographers and helping them to develop their art however possible. These are the eight topics that I cover in the advice portion of the article.

  1. Not every client is your client.
  2. The importance of wedding timelines.
  3. Showing and including what photography products you want to sell.
  4. Why having a speciality is really key.
  5. Why you should pay yourself fairly and use only premium photo products.
  6. Stop comparing yourself to others.
  7. The importance of insurance.
  8. Why generosity and love should always shine through your work.

Thank you to Pinhole Pro for highlighting my work as a wedding and portrait photographer. You can read the full article here: http://bit.ly/1GZrsUB.
