Last Saturday was National Headshot Day and we had a lot of fun looking through the threads of everyone's great and not so great images from the past. Some of the celebrity headshots are amazing!

If you think it might be time for a new headshot, it probably is. It depends on your profession, but a good general rule to follow for updating headshots is every 2 to 3 years for an adult (sooner if hair and weight changes) and every 6 months for a child.

It's easy to look back at an image of yourself and laugh. What's not so funny is when you are still using a headshot that is obviously outdated. Hairstyles change, fashion trends change, our faces and bodies change. Heck, even photography techniques change! Don't forget that you are your brand whether you are a business owner, a real estate agent, an actor or even just representing yourself on social media and business platforms. It is important, now more than ever, that you put your best face forward!

It wouldn't be fair if I didn't share some of my classic headshots from a modeling agency back when I was 18 or 19. DON'T LAUGH! Okay...laugh a little. We sure did.
